When Ami and Lawrence picked their engagement session date a few months ago, they knew they weren’t going to have much flexibility in their schedule. The couple’s only request was to do a session around blooming flowers, so we kept our fingers crossed that the cherry blossoms at McCall Waterfront Park would be in bloom during their lone weekend in March. Ami was flying out from Philadelphia for a weekend, so we knew it was going to be a bit of a crap shoot. We had high hopes for the weather based on the unusually gorgeous spring we’ve had, but as their session date neared, rain was forecasted for the entire long weekend. Rain or no rain, we were going to make this thing happen, even if it meant umbrellas and galoshes.
As luck would have it, we woke up to a mild, dry morning with a lovely cloud cover, and the cherry blossoms at McCall Waterfront Park were in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous, and Ami and Lawrence got their blooming flower photos after all. Afterwards, we took a drive to the lovely Laurelhurst park to wander in the greenery and grab some images on the famous staircase. Ami and Lawrence, congratulations to you both! Enjoy!
